The crown has a grosgrain band which holds a gold colored ostrich feather which is a bit faded, typical of hats of this age, and adds to the authenticity of this marvelous creation. The finishing touch is an intact long black spiderweb veil, which can cover the face as pictured, or it can be tucked on top of the brim, away from the face.There is also an elastic to keep the hat in a tilted position.
